In 2011 the L.A. Watts Summer Games High School Soccer Tournament ("LAWSG Soccer Tournament") returned to the South Bay after a year off. This year's LAWSG Soccer Tournament changed things up a bit. Instead of the traditional 11 v 11 format, this year's LAWSG Soccer Tournament was played indoors, futsal-style, at Torrance's South Coast Soccer City. The Tournament was played on Saturday, June 11, 2011 and Sunday, June 12, 2011.

The 2011 LAWSG Soccer Tournament included 10 boys and 10 girls teams. The number of teams was fewer than the anticipated 16 teams. The decline in teams was due partly due to schools' lack of funds and partly due to some coaches unfamiliarity with futsal. At the end of the tournament the feedback from players and coaches was overwhelmingly positive.
The LAWSG Tournament format for both boys and girls involved three groups with three games of group play. The winner of each group advanced to the semi-final round along with one wild card team. The group play took place on Saturday, June 11, 2011. The semi-finals and finals took place on Sunday, June 12, 2011.
